Ronan are finally ready to answer the Call and begin the life they were designed for But as they embark with the other Remnants on the first of their assignments they uickly discover that the world beyond their protected Valley is dangerous than they imaginedThe Sons of Sheol will stop at nothing to prevent Dri and Ronan from rescuing anyone sympathetic to the Remnants’ cause And as the Remnants battle the demonic for This was really a new refreshing read for me When I started it I wasn't very interesting in anything I was reading So this took me awhile to read like than a week when three or four days in my average Normally I think I would have read this super uick it was that goodTheir coming was foretold for many years Children born on the seventh day of the seventieth seventh Harvest after the Great War Carrying the Ailith Strain and a birthmark in the shape of a crescent moon they were recognized immediately and taken to safety Prophesied to save the world they spend their whole lives training physically and spiritually Now Andriana a Remnant and Ronan her Knight of the Last Order have experienced the Hour of their Call their call to save the world But right from the start they meet with danger Are they and the other Ailith ready for this Do they even know what specifically they're meant to do Or are they going to just die as martyrs for a righteous causeSo this was a really slow reading for about seventy percent of the book but as I said above I kind of wasn't interested in anything I was reading at the time The last thirty percent or so I read as uick as I could It was so so good I'm still wondering how this whole series is going to be resolved I feel this story can have no real conclusionThe main character was Andriana I liked her She had spirit and was uite a fighter There were a good bit of characters that were there throughout the book Ronan Raniero Vidar and Bellona And later Tressa and Killian They each had a distinct personality and I loved them all but Ronan was my absolute favorite He for some reason reminds me of Four from the Divergent Series At least a kinder Christian version of Four He was such a gentleman and he really cared for Andriana He would die for her The romance that grew between them was sweetThere was plenty of action suspense adventure danger of the unknown and the like It was really really intense I will say this is definitely for mature older teens because there is hints of what some sinful men do to women And there was one setting where it was kind of shown in a really moderate amountI'd recommend this to all the Christian Fiction fans out there It was such an interesting dystopian You'll enjoy itYou can check out this review on my blog too at Thanks

Season of Wonder The Remnants #1In the first book of the new futuristic dystopian series from author Lisa T Bergren the chosen remnants must work to redirect humanity’s courseTHEIR ARRIVAL WAS FORETOLD FOR YEARS Andriana is a Remnant gifted as an empath and one of the Ailith destined to act as humanity’s last shield against the horrors that now plague those who remainAfter years of training in stealth and warfare Andriana and her Knight protector I've been intrigued by this series ever since is was announced A YA dystopian from a Christian perspective What would that look like How would that even work Better yet would I love this series as much as I love the River of Time series Would it be as good And then I won a galley of Season of Wonder in a giveaway from the author It came in the mail two days ago and I spent most of this afternoon reading it Because it was GOOD The story To me it was like I am Number Four meets Firefly meets The Girl of Fire and Thorns with a touch of River of Time similarity In other words it was kinda awesome There was action suspense swordplay hints of romance and a twist I didn't see coming Although I'm not gonna lie it seemed fantasy than dystopian Not that it really matters; I didn't care The story completely drew me in Basically you have this group of teenagers Remnants and their Knights who are supposed to save the world which in this case involves deposing an emperor and placing the rightful king on the throne but first they have to find the others that are like them That's pretty much how this first book goesit's basically preparing the way for the story to unfold in the remaining books Some people may find that a bit boring but I didn't I thought Season of Wonder did an excellent job of introducing the story and the world in a way that draws the reader in and keeps them curious about what's next Having read Season of Wonder I'm very much looking forward to seeing what happens as the story continues The characters SO MANY HOT GUYS Just sayin It didn't take long for me to get invested in these characters and what happens to them Very well written characters I'm interested to see how the series develops the characters and whether or not each book will focus on a specific pair of Remnant and Knight I kind of hope so but we'll see I think it would be interesting to explore the dynamics of each pairing especially Killian and Tressa maybe I just have a thing for guys with dreads but I need of Killian in the following books please I am also SUPER curious about Niero Dude's hot and mysterious In my head he looks and sounds just like Slade from Arrow although Niero's a lot younger Anyways I hope this made y'all want to read Season of Wonder when it releases because you definitely should And for those of you who loved the River of Time series I see no reason why you won't love this series too I give Season of Wonder the Ashley Seal of Approval
