book å Broken Earth Ì Lee Ryder Jess’ life was turned upside down when the plagues came and killed her family She is now alone living I was unsure if I wanted to read Broken Earth some of the subject matter depending on how it was written was potentially disturbing but it was written very well I enjoyed that this wasn't some fluffy story following the current trend It takes what is a real problem todayour dependence on the earth's natural resources and extrapolates it into one possible outcome One where children are scared for their lives and responsible for themselves and their younger siblings Jess and Ian are doing their best to do just that Only with gangs running rampant and violence surrounding them it isn't as easy as it sounds They decide the only way to be free to is to travel to the promised landif it's real I won't give spoilers but I will eagerly await a seuel

Broken EarthIn a city that is surrounded by immense graveyards that are inhabited by dangerous gangs that rule by fe I sometimes had difficulty following the authors directions but the writing was so good and the underlying themes dear to memotherhood environmental concerns and racial divides that I had trouble putting them down the ending brings it all together I willnot forget reading this book ever
