I was supposed to wrap Christmas gifts up today I decided to take a uick peek at this book first Bad idea Thank goodness for gift bags and tissue paperI'm not a romance buff by any stretch of the imagination the hard to swallow plot lines usually make me roll my eyes and DNF But this one was differentFirst off it's a Regency and a CLEAN one at that so no pre marital hanky panky going on which I was glad of Nothing makes me livid then when characters act against their society's belief structure Especially when it comes to marriage actions outside of marriage Unless the book is specifically labelled as such I rather not have naughty bits pop up when I'm not expecting them When I am expecting them that's fine Second I didn't realize this is clean because it's a Christian fiction I was pleasantly surprised AND was relieved to see that God was a character in this book He wasn't shoved down the reader's throat and He also wasn't just a cameo appearance He was skillfully woven through the characters' belief structures and the plot of the book itself HUGE plusThird the sisters were both different and they didn't always get along but they DID love one another and tried to help each other as much as they were able to within their personality traits This is a Regency getting married was the prime objective of all women back then but the sisters didn't FIGHT over the manmen and they didn't only talk about men and marriage It was a rather big plot point but that wasn't what the MC female at least was focused onThe only complaint I had was not enough of what caused both sisters to be faithful and religious was shown Neither parent seemed overly into God so I was curious how the sisters were led to Him Especially since the younger one seemed a bit flighty yet she did have faith and belief It wasn't shown often but when it was shown it was somewhat jarring You don't get to see a lot of the younger sister You only really see her through the eyes of the MCs and they don't really respect her much Not that I blame them what she did was really immature and conniving but there were brief glimpses of a stronger core that I would have liked to see of Not a bad book I really enjoyed it Read it in one sitting I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes clean romances with God as a prominent but not in your face character Especially if you enjoy Regency romances This had Christmas in it but not til the end The title was a tad tricky in that respect Still counts towards my Advent reading 45 stars rounded down due to my wishing the secondary characters had been a tad fleshed out Still a great read and one I would recommend I will be reading by this author no uestionMy thanks to NetGalley and Forever Grand Central Publishing for an eARC copy of this book to read and review

This was a cute story It's the third book in the Love's Grace series I haven't read the first two books yet but I didn't feel lost and thought the story stood well on its own I'd like to read the other two now thoughJames finds himself in a sticky situation His latest flirt Emily had managed to trick him into marriage The only problem he's slowly falling in love with her sister Lucinda Oh there is another problem James is expected to find a husband for Lucinda Lucinda and James have a sweet relationship at first glance they appear to be complete opposites but as they spend time together they realize they actually have uite a bit in common I also liked how they rounded each other out bringing out better aspects of their personalities They end up being a good couple view spoilerI do have some doubts about Emily and Daniel's happiness they seem way too opposite to really make each other happy At first I think their differences would be endearing but I'm not sure in the long run if they would continue to think so hide spoiler
