I was one of a lucky few to receive this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review; and having read all of JL Weil's other books I was than excited to read Starboundand I was not disappointedI think one of the best things about the book is the dual POV it was nice to be able to understand things from both Katia and Seth's points of view especially in terms of how they felt about each other and the curse placed upon them It made each chapter interesting because as the reader we got to see how both of them really felt about each other when the characters themselves didn't even know how the other felt about them And the dual POV worked especially well in explaining how Katia and Seth felt about the curse and their love for each other Seeing that they both had an inner turmoil over it over how they viewed the situation and what they wanted to happen was especially captivating The concept of the story was fascinating a different take on stories about magic and I can honestly say I've never read a book like this one it was completely original and I was hooked from the get goWhat was also likeable about it was that the characters weren't best friends from the start they didn't have a sudden romance and conseuently a heavy relationship from the off uite the opposite in fact in the beginning of the book Katia and Seth didn't even speak to each other other than to fling sarcastic or hurtful comments at each other Of course they found themselves drawn to each other but for the most part they steered clear of one another So what was nice was the fact that we got to see how those initial feelings of resentment and dislike actually weren't that at all and that actually the two shared a deep and intense attraction to each other being drawn together by fate and a deadly curse that neither could do anything about It was compelling to read how the characters dealt with those feelings not just towards each other but about the curse tooThe ending was brilliant I was so sure at one point that the ending may not have been a 'typical happy ending' which normally would have me putting a book down but I couldn't stop reading; I was hanging on the edge of my seat willing Katia to be okay hoping than anything for some sort of miracleand there was one Thank goodness The suspense had me nearly in tears so that when Katia and Seth could finally be together minus the curse I was so thrilled my heart practically sang for the two of themA truly brilliant read I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a female character with a bit of sass and a stubborn edge and a drool worthy male lead with a bit of an attitude Absolutely awesome

FML is becoming Katia's motto for senior year Things couldn't get any worse or so she thought After another uppity party that ends badly she finds herself stumbling down the street with a broken heel So when the guy she's had a mad crush on since preschool offers Katia a ride she couldn't say no B. I want to preface this review by stating I don't often review books My apologies if my review isn't written as elouently as others ; Here goes I received this book for free for an honest review and I'm seriously glad I was able to read such a fantastic book I honestly had no idea what Starbound was about I just knew that if it was written by Jl Weil then it must be a good readAt first when I started reading this book I felt maybe I was to old for this genre but I found myself not able to put the book down I had to know what happened between the two main characters Seth and Katia I really liked how the author wrote the book from both their POV's you're able to get to know each one of them and feel what each one of them is feeling This is definitely a new twist on magic and I'm not talking about witches and warlocks This is by far something new and unusual which made this book that much intriguing I highly recommend this book you won't be disappointed

StarboundUt she should have Seth Nightingale was troubleSeth just made the biggest mistake of his life and there is no way to fix it He kissed Katia Montgomery What hell had he been thinking The problem is when Katia is around his mind turns to mush Torn between his affection for Katia and his desire to no. I enjoyed this book so much that I finished it in one sitting The story was smooth and flowed very well It had me laughing out loud uite a bit JL Weil made it even better by having duel POVs with the main characters Katia Montgomery’s life is charmed She is pretty popular and dating the star basketball player So then why is she miserableSeth Nightingale has always known that the sassy and spunky Katia is destined to be his—that they are starbound I loved these 2 main characters Katia was feisty and Seth was the serious hottie They had chemistry humor some spider goddess blood and a curse hanging over their heads And boy were they HOT I could feel the connection while reading especially with the 2 POVs The they tried to stay away from each other the hotter it got even though it meant their death from the curse JL Weil added another twist in mythology that I enjoyed She kept me invested in the story from beginning to end Although Starbound is a stand alone book I really wish she would make it into a series I want of Katia and Seth Read this book you won't be disappointed except that it's over too soonI was lucky enough to get this book from the author free for a honest review
