Its You David is about to marry and settle down to a prosperous future with a woman whose DNA probably matches his own But a declaration of love that he fails to deal with Between 25 and 3 starsMight be spoilerish I downloaded this book based on the high ratings that I saw Based on that I had high expectations that I was going to likeenjoy this book Unfortunately it ended up being a disappointment The narration is very wordy Many times I had to re read paragraphs just to figure out what the author is trying to say because everything is so diluted in an ocean of words I spent many parts of the story feeling confused Even though this book is supposed to be about David and Mark it is mainly about David and his bitching about everything He is the narrator and the main character of the book Too bad for me that I did not connect with him Though I like my characters flawed I did not like David at all He was incredibly self centered and callous He was an awful fiance to Clare a bad boyfriend to Mark a non friend to his best friend JamesI'm trying to think of a single person he uplifted or didn't screw over in the whole book and can't come up with one The other thing is that I did not find him compelling but rather boring The moments between David and Mark aren't hot either It is just purple proseI mainly kept reading just to see how the whole thing would unfold For a book with so many words the author came up short at the end The book just sort of ended Nothing was resolved between Mark and David The thing ends mid conversation about them maybe going away together but nothing is truly defined The book could also use some editing For instance Clare one of the supporting characters is mentioned as Claire Clare and in one instance Kate In the end since there are so many other wonderful reviews about this book I'm just going to assume that this is a book that did not work for me
