A sense of perspective and compassion for others Born of experience based on a lifetime of work with animals and close involvement with over 10000 puppies and dogs around 15000 people the breadth of experience is plain to see The primary purpose of the book is entertainment that educates Written in plain English with easy to understand analogies it is simple and enjoyable to follow No technical knowledge of dogs or humans is reuired As a public speaker I have learnt over the years how people learn and what makes them laugh Covering some of the most dangerous and worrying of behaviours like dogs. Well this one has certainly caused controversy in the dog training circles that's for sure Or at least the turn and face method for dealing with reactive dogs has I've “known” Denise for years online and have seen the method used for myself Not for every dog and owner but then is any method That said this book isn't really about the turn and face thing anyway Nor is it a training manual It's a look into the authors lives the dogs she's lived with worked with and treated over her career I enjoyed reading about the different case studies and have always found Denise to be a good story teller both online and in person Personally I really enjoyed this book

I enjoyed this book than I thought The authors brunt honesty is refreshing and letting readers know that no one is is perfect and makes mistakes I like how she reflects on inexperience and what she would do now For anyone interested in working with dogs or just enjoy dogs this will be a enjoyable read I don't agree with all her methods but rarely is there one trainer I agree with every method they do but I have respect for her as a trainer and her honesty in the book
