illnesses that one can deal with on a daily basis Sometimes we don’t think about or give it much thought It can be our neighbor a clerk a barista our own partners or even ourselves Not only did this anthology bring light to some not so talked about subjects it benefits a great cause These authors put in time and effort to bring these stories to life and maybe help someone out of that darkness Thank you to you guys for that I loved all of the stories some major cliffies not so much But I am stalking new authors to hopefully get answers later on Each author brought different twists to their subject matter and even combined some to get their point across All stories were beautifully written I was able to read them and get sucked in to them one after the other with no issues Major kudos there for the perfect word flow Forbidden Sorrows Missy Ann This one as a starter pulled me completely in I felt the anger the sorrow the grief all of it I hope it’s turned into a full novel Grounded Anna Edwards I loved this story anxiety is never really seen as a huge burden unfortunately I love how the author connected anxiety to other crucial disorders that can inhibit ones way of life I’m also stalking to find out the conclusion here Little Lies Michelle Brown This one tugged at my momma heart strings To see a character suffer so much pain and not have anyone notice or help got to me It was written with so many emotions I loved the conclusion completely Wish we could see beyond that but either way it was well done since I’m still feeling all the feels Wreckage KS Marshall I’m so glad someone brought this story to life So many women suffer from this without even knowing it or get mislabeled The author portrayed not only the patient but the partners view Which to me was very well done Sometimes what the family goes through is not seen and I loved how it was portrayed here Wonderful story and I loved the ending Purged Livia Grant I loved this Hollywood twist on this story I also learned many markers for this disorder The author demonstrated that a steady support system is needed in cases like these That was my favorite part All the side characters that rallied for our heroine Sickness in the Sunrise Yolanda Olson This one here was one that stood out It is an interesting disorder that I personally never heard of Kudos for that one The story damn That’s really all I can say The author blew me away and I want Damn Ashes to Ashes Natalie Bennett Uhhhhh so Im missing to my copy words This one spiked my anxiety I wanted I still do Tattered Pieces Dani René This subject is a touchy one Not a lot of people can nail it down sometimes I’m glad to say it was done justice here I love second chances in life and both the heroine and hero in this story are getting that I’ll be waiting for the final conclusion as well not happy for the delayCocoon Jennifer Bane I loved the detail to the disorder See below for full disclosure of this storyIgnite Ally Vance Ummmm Ms Ally Im missing words And WTF You pull me in I get sucked in and then it just ends like that But I want and need Hostile Takeover Murphy Wallace This was short but sweet It reminded me of a criminal minds episode So I was definitely intrigued and glued in The Row Jane Anthony This one left me speechless The storyline veered off so many directions I loved it Although I would of liked for it to have elaborated the main character’s struggle with it That wasn’t done as much since there was other outside plot lines taking effect Still a good story Awake Ashleigh Giannoccaro This was also a good story it kept me on my toes That’s for sure It also didn’t touch too much on the actual illness and overall emotions from it Unbearable Skye Callahan This one was excellent The storyline was phenomenal I connected to the characters struggle and disorder easily I loved how the story developed I want Need it Loops Toni LeMay This was also another disorder I was unaware of I loved how the author let the character come to her own conclusions I also googled some stuff to make sure I wasn’t seeing things as well So that definitely says the author did their job Possible spoiler There was one story that although it was written well and gave such insight to this disorder I cannot praise it Part 9 Cocoon by Jennifer Bene which dealt with OCD obsessive compulsive disorder That storyline went beyond OCD and in a way painted OCD patients like they would be susceptible to circumstances that cross so many lines I really don’t want to give things away but after all this is my review and my sole opinion No means NO In no way shape or form should rape ever be romanticized I get this is fiction and everything goes but if you are part of an anthology that is helping others seek out help your story negates that entirely Shame on you Like I stated the story was well written but it became about than a woman living with OCD which took from the original theme and cause I hope that any person who has ever been violated or suffers from OCD think that it’s okay for that to happen That’s why this takes it to a 455 review I’m rounding up because I stand behind the cause this anthology benefits With that said I do urge you to read at your own discretion There are deep themes dealt with here but are except one written with such pride and emotion that it makes it entirely worth it to feel all the feels Again Kudos to all these authors

Summary ´ E-book, or Kindle E-pub ☆ Michelle Brown

Just Breathe Anthology È The thing that keeps them Grounded All while others feel the Hostile Takeover of their lives The constant Loops and The Rows of Tattered Pieces and fragments that plague them Sometimes those can’t be Purged driving them to the edge of madness This is an anthology covering topics of mental illness and disorders. I've had the pleasure so far of reading two stories out of this collection and I can't wait to read the rest The two I've read are Purged by Livia Grant and Cocoon by Jennifer Bene if the rest of the works inside this anthology are even half as good as those two this is going to be an anthology to be rememberedPurged is an exceptional story set in the epic Black Light universe It follows Khloe and Ryder previously from the Valentine's Roulette anthology and Khloe's eating disorders Now I don't have an eating disorder but I do have chronic gastric stomach ulcers which have closed my pylorus which has the same effect as being anorexicFor me Livia Grant captured every aspect of the mental and physical anguish of an eating disorder down to every last perfect detail even down to food feeling like a foreign body that needs to be purged This attention to detail combined with a much loved character whose struggle balancing an eating disorder with normal life strikes a personal chord with me makes for an intense but fabulous story My only complaint is that I wanted to see of Ryder but as this story was about Khloe and her battle I think Livia Grant did an exceptional jobCocoonNow this really messed with my head I'm not going to give any spoilers but there are aspects of this story that make you reread sections over and over and almost gives you OCD from counting words Cocoon has the uintessential Jennifer Bene twist that edge of dark and dub connon con and a story your eyes want to suck off the page yet still giving us a happy ever after A fantastic story that might just drive you a little crazy for a number of fantastic reasons Summary ´ E-book, or Kindle E-pub ☆ Michelle Brown
