And she begins to wonder if it’s even worth trying to surviveBut when the family mementos on the dresser catch her eye Emma feels a bit of light turn on inside her Maybe the way to make sense of her new life is to live the lives her mom dad and brother no longer can So she sets out to achieve each of their dreams It won’t be easy but it’s all Emma has left and in the process she just may find out who she’s supposed to be. 35 starsAn easy breezy read that kept me engaged for the most part As someone who has endured some of the loss and heartbreak similar to that of Emma Loukasour protagonistI would say that I did relate to her emotional upheaval many times throughout the book The characters were generally likable but I would have preferred it if they had shades to them The plot development is goodthough I felt that the story lost a little momentum midwaythen picked up the pace again after Emma discovered something scandalous The writing feels amateurish and leaves room for a lot of improvement Definitely an author with potential
