O loves geeky TV shows baseball and giraffes who’s just as turned on by food as I am and who has a huge secret that I didn’t see comingNow it's time to grovel and apologize publicly on social media and hope that those same followers who helped start the raging shitstorm will help calm the watersBecause Sarah doesn’t want the spotlight For very good reasons that I can’t tell you right now and trying to convince her to be my fake girlfriend to fix this mess and make me look like less of a jackass is This is second in a series but they aren't terribly interconnected despite Beck being Ellie's brother There are a lot of overlapping friends but they're mostly background and I didn't feel like I was missing anything despite having bailed on the first before many of them came on stage thereI knew coming into this that it had a heaping lot of wish fulfillment fantasy about it Which turns out to be an understatement because it's pretty much made of wish fulfillment fantasy It's a good thing that Grant is very good at creating engaging characters that are a delight to spend time withBeck is completely over the top with a big personality that overshadows his innate kindness and generous spirit I enjoyed seeing him fall for Sarah and how he took on that relationship with all the enthusiasm he takes on everything else I particularly loved how his kindness kept him careful about overriding her or overpowering her in his enthusiasm So while he's a bit relentless it ended up being charming when it could easily have become annoyingSarah was as engaging but a lot of that is the plotcharacter arc of her finding her strength and growing into the person who can not only handle being associated with Beck but also into owning her background She's a little bit generic as nerd girl sub type enviro science chick to start but Grant springboards off of that into her own person fairly soon afterThere are a lot of moving parts in the story because Beck loves people and tends to throw his net wide And you can see that he's attracted some strong personalities in doing so Grant does a great job keeping that present without becoming intrusive and there are some real standouts like his assistant CharlieI don't want to give the impression that it's all win Some of the personalities were a little underdeveloped or too over the top to take seriously Sarah's dad comes to mind And everybody's response to children is dialed into an ideal enchantment even though the kids aren't idealized So you have a real snot of a three year old treated with not just tolerance but indulgence because everything is cute or adorable and all the adults have their brains turned off when it comes to anything a kid does Which is than a little weird because usually when an author pulls that off the kids are idealized than they are here And no that isn't just my inner curmudgeon coming out I'm pretty sure ProbablyAnyway it's a solid four star read but only if you can roll with the idealized world Grant presents And I'm not talking about the kid thing Beck and Sarah are perfect for each other and their flaws are as matched as their strengths are The wish fulfillment is strong and that's not just in the setup with the ex boy band supermodel falling for the mostly normal chick The people in Beck's inner circle are kind accepting generous and loving and while I enjoyed their interactions and spending time in that world I did so as a break from reality and no illusions that any of it was actually possible in any wayA note about Steamy There's a single explicit sex scene but I'm using my personal definition that ignores small breaks for exposition or breakfast or whatever It's long enough it nearly jumped into the middle of my steam tolerance but didn't actually get that far

MOBI Americas Geekheart Bro Code #2

Americas Geekheart Bro Code #2Worse than taking a kick to the nuts by Jackie ChanAnd I thought modeling underwear made me feel nakedTrying to start a relationship in the era of the twitterazzi isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be America’s Geekheart is a rockin’ fun romantic comedy featuring a billionaire fashion mogul who got his start modeling underwear the geeky girl next door with a secret the size of California and superstitions and secrets than you can shake a baseball bat at It stands alone with no cheating or cliffhange Irresistibly GeekyWhat made this story so good was the fact that I knew almost instantly that the hero was not for me At first I was surprised that I was enjoying it considering the hero wasn't perfect for me but then I realised that he was perfect for her While I really liked the heroine I knew that I wasn't slipping into the story to play her part because we are completely different My parents aren't movie stars I'm not an environmental crusader and I'm not a big fan of computer games It was nice to sit back and enjoy their love story because I knew that he would drive me INSANE IN THE MEMBRANEThe guy is an absolute goofball who doesn't think before he acts He gets away with it most of the time because he's beautiful rich and famous He also pays a lot of money to his staff to get him out of trouble Unfortunately this time Beck's made a HUGE mistake and he's not the only one to pay for it For the first time it's going to take than an irresistible smile and money thrown at his troubles to fix Beck's going to have to grovel beg and plead for forgiveness and become Persephone the Giraffe's biggest fanSarah has spent a long time hiding who she really is It's not easy being the daughter of Hollywood royaltyespecially when you're a wee bit geeky When she unfortunately becomes embroiled in a tweet gone bad Sarah decides to take the opportunity to bring a little attention to a good cause If she has to deal with the fallout at least she will be entertained and distracted by the grovelling underwear model who started the messI'm really enjoying the Bro Code series and America's Geekheart kept me entertained from start to finish The characters were funny geeky and completely lovable The additional characters definitely made the story even better and I really hope we get of the ex bandmates love stories down the trackI admit these stories are a wee bit OTT and Beck could be a little too immature As I said above while not for me Beck's goofiness was perfect for Sarah Her seriousness definitely balanced Beck's silliness and his confidence gave her confidence My favourite part of the story is Beck's absolute lust for Sarah and his confusion in others blindness to her beauty I loved it when he took her makeup off because he wanted to see his Sarah swoon Pippa Grant has again left me satisfied with funny sweet and geeky love story I will definitely be going on in the series especially if I get of the Bro Code bandmates

That they could continue after their official time is finished? And his life is out in front of the world She prefers to stay behind the scenes hidden Could she really be a part of the world she has spent her entire adult life hiding from? “This is what I’ve been searching for my entire life without even knowing I wanted it” This book was so much fun It is a slow burn sweet fun read I loved how close knit this group is And Sarah’s parents were hilarious I do admit I had trouble keeping all of Beck’s friends straight when they were all hanging out together But this group is like family than friends And I loved the effect everyone’s closeness had on Sarah I really did enjoy this I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series “I didn’t ask for him But I can’t imagine ever letting him go” For about this book and so many come and visit me at Carol's Crazy Bookish Worldhttpswwwfacebookcomgroups44036
