Women Win the VotePed pave the way From early feminist activist Lucretia Mott to radical twentieth century suffragist Alice Paul this vibrant. This book arrived at just the right time I've been gearing up for the Democratic primaries and have been really interested in the history of voting I know this book is aimed toward young readers probably tweens and teens but as an adult I also enjoyed it The book gives short 2 3 pages histories of 19 women who helped women win the right to vote I finished the book in two sittings I appreciated that the history of each woman wasn't too detailed but did manage to tell me about her life and how she helped influence the 19th amendment The illustrations are just so so for me and seem to be messy although I know that is how books for younger readers are illustrated these days I enjoyed this book a lot and am going to pass it on to a friend who I think will enjoy it as much as I did
